😡⚽ When the coach starts yelling…

Some parents shrug it off as “part of the game.” Others keep quiet, worried their child might lose playing time or fall out of favor.

But let’s be clear:

Yelling doesn’t build character. It doesn’t create leaders. It creates kids who doubt themselves.

Shouting chips away at confidence, takes the fun out of soccer, and can kill a child’s love for sports altogether.

Picture this: a kid runs onto the field full of energy and excitement, but walks off discouraged, head down, questioning why they even play.

❌ Is that really what we want for them?

❌ Is that the environment we’d choose for our kids?

That’s why silence isn’t an option.

👉 If your child’s coach crosses the line, speak up—calmly, without conflict.

👉 If things don’t change, take it to the people in charge at the club.

Your voice matters. Kids deserve an environment where they feel supported, encouraged, and inspired to keep playing.

✨ That’s what parenting in soccer is really about—making sure our kids grow up with a love for the game and the confidence to carry it with them for life.

When a coach yells at kids in soccer, it’s up to us as parents to step in—calmly, thoughtfully, and with our child’s confidence front and center. By speaking up to the coach or club leadership, we protect not just their enjoyment of the game, but their sense of worth and love for soccer. That’s what makes all the difference.
